Just returned from a 3500 mile trip with our '64 Shasta Compact. Minnesota to Nashville, where we enjoyed seeing Vince Gill and the Time Jumpers playing in a small bar. Met up with Miriam from this forum to share vintage trailer stories. She's hoping to hit the road with her compact soon. Headed up to the Catskills and visited Woodstock and a stellar waterfall in Watkins Glen, NY. Our country is beautiful! Stopped by the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, IN and saw some incredible trailers. Last stop was Antique Archaeology, the home of the American Pickers! It was a great trip. Always glad to get home and have the wheels on trailer;) Biggest surprise was not seeing one single vintage trailer on the road. Get out there and explore with your trailers.

Saw the Elkhart museum about a year-and-a-half ago with my 87-year-old mom; we had many camping adventures (in many campers!) from the early '60s through the early 70s, and she had a blast seeing all those vintage trailers. Me too!

Congrats on getting out there and using your trailer! That was quite a trip. I have the RV museum on my list of places to visit.
