Now that the rebuild is finished, it's time for the details! What do I use on the VCT tiles to make them shine and to protect them? Thanks everyone!

Jody a liquid wax is what I use on the tiles. The one I use is called "Distance floor keeper". Not available everywhere I know but you will easily find something at the hardware or grocery store.

My understanding is that you must seal the tiles first, then wax. I am sure the manufacturer of your VCT has instructions for proper care.

First thing you must do is strip the factory glaze from the tiles. They come with a protective glaze on them. Use floor stripper for that. I use "Henry Multi-Floor Cleaner". Then just use Armstrong Excellon Floor Polish. I have a tutorial on the process but it's really easy. I just use a sponge for both. I usually do 3 to 5 coats the first time. Your floor will shine...
