Stupid Question #82....So I bought a new battery Exide 24MDCST. Towing system electrical will be run off the tow vehicle. This will be used to run our fan and water pump when needed primarily when we are not at a full service campground. Connected to a converter.
Don't see anywhere what wire gauge to use for the battery to the converter. It's only a whopping 6 feet or so. 10 Gauge? It's just whenever I see wire connected to a battery, they are much larger....worried I am not doing the right thing.

There are no stupid questions, only regrets for the ones you wish you had asked. I installed a converter in the EssSee, and used the original wiring to tie in. It is 10-ga back to the battery, and seems to be working just fine plugged in out here in the driveway. I have not drawn the battery down with any extended unplugged use, but see no reason the maintainer would have any problems with the 10-ga to recharge it though. Ten is correct: 10 will work. Since you have the option, I'd go for 8.
