This is quite a distance from me (4 hours ish) but really like it. What is the brand? I think I've seen that window door before on something? Very few photos, but if the price can be negotiated, it's a pretty great deal. maine.craigslist.org/rvs/5025664572.html

Don't know what it is, but seems like someone ought to at least take a look. Or...just grab it!

I think that's a Mobile Scout... Here's one of my viewers... This one is a 1960. I think the advertised one is older even though they say it's a 64. The suicide door tells me that... Either way it's well worth the $600...

My 65 Mobile Scout is a ham with the suicide door. It does not have jalousie windows, they are two outward panes instead...

I just clicked on the thread and it says posted 12 hours ago. I am amazed it has lasted 12 hours. Ones like this you run out of the house, stuffing cash in your pockets wearing mismatched shoes and your pajama top, to get there first. Once the deal is closed, then it is soon enough to wonder what make it is, imho.

East BF, the absolutely middle of nowhere, that's why it's still there.

I just called on it; the guy said he's getting LOTS of calls on it. I bet it's gone by the end of the day.

I did kinda forget about the jalousies. That also says something about the age. Well I guess it's a 64 then. Theresa East BF is where I get all my trailers. I have never purchased a trailer from Craig's List. I got my 54 Westerner from Death Valley out near Barkers Ranch which is where Charles Manson was arrested. History showed that he had even sat in my trailer a number of times.

That is a VERY cool story, your trailer is priceless with that bit of history. I'm so tempted to pull the trigger on this and commit to it sight unseen. My husband's truck is out of commission right now with a stuck brake caliper, and this weekend he'll be busy shingling my garage so I can use the garage for working on campers. So, I either send money and pick up later, or pass it up and quit obsessing over it. Though it will always be "the one that got away"...

I think you were right on the trailer's age Larry! Sorry to say, I have lousy photos of my 65: Mobile Scout is one of the few mid 60s canned hams. (Cardinal had one as well). Most were turning to more boxy shapes.

haha, I've stewed about this camper all day. I may call in the AM and see if he still has it. I"ll offer him a 1/2 down deposit via PayPal if he'll hold it until I can make it there to get it. Sheesh, this is a horrible addiction!

Sheesh, this is a horrible addiction! No it's a GREAT addiction. I would jump on it. The price is low in comparison to what's going on out there. You can always just sell it and get your money back. No risk here.

No risk here. It's not the money or the decision to buy, it's the figuring out how/when to get it home. But I guess it'll all come together if it's meant to be.

I don't believe in Fate... I don't think anything is meant to be or not meant to be. Everything is as it is. We have the power to change what is to what was. I wouldn't wait too long on this one though. All the parts are there. That's the most important part. Only problem is, your yard will soon look like a vintage trailer rally.
