I was tearing into the sides of my unknown trailer when a paper floated down before me. On the paper was written "1940" and the number "C 386 A57 50c dd. lebio". This is a different number than stamped on the tongue.

Concentrate on the stamped tongue number. To the best of my knowledge there were no 1940 campers with jalousie windows and none with the style aluminum siding you have on your camper. Your camper appears to me to be possibly an early 1960's model at the oldest.
