I need to pick up some new aluminum for my roof. Which alloy is best? I searched through the thread and it seems a 0.030 thickness is OK, I just did not see anything on the alloy type.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Thanks. .030" is not a common thickness size, .032" is the normally stocked size. .040" is the thickness for the Semi Trailer roof material, which comes by the foot (any length), and 103" wide.
3000 series is a normally stocked hardness in 4' by 12' sheets. If you go with sheets, ave the supplier shear it to your required size (at least 2" to 3" wider per side) for easy transportation.

Thanks John. I found some 0.032 3003 4' wide sheets close to home so I think I will go with that.
