Hello ALL! WAAA-Hoo! We are working on our Shasta to make it a great camper for us! Its not a restoration to original shape, but more of a Resto-Mod. You can see all the blog entries of our work thus far at: paxtonshasta.blogspot.com/2012/02/what-did-we-do.htmlBut we are wanting to get started on the outside this summer. Any suggestions? My wife wants to polish up the aluminum. From what we've seen so far, the metal tarnished pretty quickly in the Iowa weather. would I have to polish it all the time to keep it looking nice? Thank guys! Johnathan

Looks very nice Johnathan! Took me a while to figure out how to view the photos.
Personally, I don't like highly polished aluminum. It hurts my eyes, is a LOT OF WORK to do and takes a ton of effort to keep "shiny".

I think the big question is how much shine is enough? This took a solid week after the paint was off. This is is what I want, which will take a second week. The first held up nicely over the NC winter. My guess is the second would not.
