Hi all, In the process of redoing a '69 Lo-Liner and have a lighting dilemma. There were 3, 110v reading lights throughout the trailer. Down-facing, directional, retro...very cool. The previous owners took one out (gone), and the other two have shades that are in really bad shape. The chances of finding one that is identical to the other two is impossible, and I don't mind replacing them all. I'm leaving them on a 15 amp AC circuit, but need to find 3 fixtures that don't look like Home Depot. Any sources for new/used sconces or reading lights at a reasonable price? Thanks!!

You might find an old pole light in a garage sale with suitable parts to redo your lights, many had three lights. If you have a missing base, post a picture ask if anyone has a match they wish to sell or donate for the shipping.

LadyW will have some suggestions. Bill, we had one of those pole lamps when I was a kid. Mando, check thrift stores. If you have a Habitat For Humanity thrift store, or get a chance to go to a town that does, check it out. We love to find stuff there. But most of our small vintage finds are at Goodwill.

Hey................Let's keep HFH a secret between us!
And................Don't tell them about ReStore either!
Nobody is going to find cheap lights on eBay, at least until LadyW finishes her trailer.
LOL

Oh, we don't have a ReStore. Guess I should look for those when I travel.

LOVE Re-Store! We found a great little antique window for our barn-style chicken coop, and it goes perfectly with the antique door that we saved from our home remodel.

Hi all, Thanks for the feedback. I'm in the middle of nowhere so the internet will be the best bet. I've attached a couple pics. One is of the original fixture...funky. The other pic is from (surprisingly) Home Depot today in a nearby town. Cool, cheap, retro light that I might be able to retrofit the shade onto the existing fixtures. Thought I would share. Thanks again for your help.

I have the same cone shape lights in my trailer and I can't remember how to reconnect them , The 14/2 wire comes directly from the breaker box to the first light and then to the other one . There are 4 wires on the back of each light . Can someone send me a picture or anything that will aid in my problem . Thank you to all in advance .

Connect the black wires with a wing nut and the white wires with a wing nut. One set of wires will go to the 2nd light... The "extra wires" are probably for a small outlet on the light base. Be careful using them, they can get very hot if over loaded...

If the silver doesn't work, try IKEA... Or a set of double cone lights on ebay... I have some extra lights but I'm not going to get rid of stuff till the trailer is finished

We were just discussing the difficulty of finding the small "clip on" half light shades for the old style vintage sconce lights during this weekends Pismo Rally.
Someone told me that West Marine sells the shades, but with some funky material. They buy the shade, trim off all of the original material, and use a hot glue gun to recover the wire frame work with material from their curtains.
What I need is a few pieces of old style venation blind slats. I have two very old bakelite wall sconces on my 1948 Spartan, they used pieces of the blind slates bent around the light bulbs as shades. It has a very art deco look.

I'm thinking different areas of the country. You know: Tomato, Tomahto. LOL

I have the exact same problem as the original post. I would be very interested to find out what you did for a solution.
Did you go with the home Depot clip light?
