Sorry if this is a redundant question. We have our Shasta with the skin off. I want to rewire it. I plan on getting a electrician at some point. I have read many of the posts and am pretty sure I'm going to need professional help. But would like to get some of it started myself. So do I replace the old 14/2 wire with the same new 14/2 for lights and outlets? With a 30 amp shore line coming into the breaker box being distributed through a 15 amp breaker and a 20 amp breaker for fridge/microwave? Or should I use a 12/2 for the fridge or will 14/2 be fine? Thanks in advance 63shastamom

I run the heavier wire (orange) from the shore plug to the circuit panel. I also use the heavier wire (orange) to high amp draw accessories like the Micro Wave, or a Coffee Pot. Lights are low draw, so the thinner (white) wire is fine. It's lots harder to run the thicker wire around tight bends or through the ceiling.
If your not comfortable with your electrical skills, consult with an electrician. He should be able to tell you what you need, allow you to run the Romex wiring, and come back and connect it for you.

I went with all 12/2 (Romex yellow) from my box and to my fixtures. And it was a monster to pull through the rafters, especially since I added extra rafters.
I used 10g from my 30amp plug to the box which is standard. Mine is grey, rather than orange because it is an outdoor, weather proof wire. I (my husband) bought it off of a roll cut to the length needed.
FYI Color coded Romex began in 2001. Before then, there was no color code.

I typically use 6 or 8 ga from shore to 30 amp main breaker. From there I keep frig and micro on their own single 14/2 lines fed by a 15 amp breaker. All other 120 lines are standard housing grade 5-6 plugs/switches to a 14/2 line, again fed by a 15amp breaker. That said I find myself leaning more and more toward 12v where ever possible.
