Hi everyone, I'm new here and hoping someone can share their oven expertise with me. I'm restoring part of my Holiday oven in my 64 Oasis and am trying to figure out how to put it back together. Unfortunately, I'm stuck. The pilot assembly is freely suspended in the oven cavity by the aluminum gas tubing, not screwed into anything. It may have been that way from the PO, but it seems like I should affix it to something more securely. But what? I can't figure out what I'm supposed to screw it to in order to secure it. I thought perhaps I was supposed to turn it on its side and screw it to the tab on the burner plate, and in the process I broke the darn supply line to the secondary pilot. Guess it's not supposed to go there! Why can't anything ever be easy? Oven3 by kimberwarden, on Flickr No matter where I try to put the pilot assembly..above the burner gas supply, below it, to the left or to the right, it doesn't seem to be in the right position to immediately light the main burner flame when the gas comes on. Is the secondary pilot supposed to light the gas as it comes out of the main gas line, before it flows into the burner plate? (Seems the safest way.) Or is the burner plate supposed to fill with gas and THEN ignite? (Seems like it could lead to a mini explosion in the oven.) Kimber
