One of the items I decide to upgrade on our FAN camper was the 110v and 12v distribution. I had the room in the truck so I added a combined charger/inverter - which is a 40amp charger and 1800w continues and 3600w surge inverter. I added new 110v and 12v distribution/breakers, new group27 battery, new wiring, a couple of new 12v lights and wired for a 12v water pump. I still need to cleanup some of the wiring, but thought some of you folks might be interested. I'm also a boater and this a a little overkill for camper, but I did have fun! Thanks, Pete

Yes, admittedly I went a little over-board with my power distribution. I like All the features including complete ability to isolate various circuits, control usage of inverter/charger, ease of expansion for additional branch circuits and the reason I did it in the first place which is protect All my wires/circuits the way I want to. Since it's my first camper and I like the way boater's protect electrical circuits, I brought the boating electrical to my camper. If I had to do it over, I'd scale it down some while still providing the protection I want. The charger/inverter was by far the largest cost, but the panels and misc did add up fast. Even though I plan to add a few additional circuits for follow-on projects, I'm sure I could have scaled it down some. Thanks, Pete
