I think I have an idea that could be a lot of fun.... What would you people think about a VTT Simul-Rally. In other words, we decide on having simultaneous rallies in 4 to 6 different parts of the country all at the same time on the same weekend. Then when we come back we can all share photos and videos of our events and post them up here. The only catch is that in order to attend you MUST be a registered user here on VTT.... I'd be happy to host one here in So Cal to get the ball rolling. What say you all?

I think it would be fun as well! We'll just have to see what sort of interest is generated and how many are willing to "host".

Sounds like fun but might be hard to coordinate a specific time for all of us. I would be glad to host one. If we couldn't coordinate a specific weekend, we could pick a month to be our own and spread the rallies throughout that month.
Or, we could all campout in our own yards on the same night!

Gosh, I perked up at the heading of this thread, because I thought it might be what SusieQ just finished her post off with. I could make a one person rally in my yard! I was thinking we could see how many VTT members set up in their yards for a full day or evening of camping and to verify it, start each "report" with a pic of the camper holding the local paper with the date showing while sitting in their set up "campsite". If say, 438 VTT members did it, the thread would start..."438 VTT Members and their families attend VTT (fill in the date) Simul-Rally".

LOL Both would work for me SusieQ... All I'm getting at with this is something that is VTT specific. We can't do a rally that everyone could get to so the next best thing would be something like what we are talking about here. Let the ideas flow...

I like the local paper idea but I think I'd have to hold it for my camper. She ain't got no hands.

I would not be able to camp in either my front or back yard. Too steep. Maybe we can do both? For those that prefer back yards and those that prefer campgrounds.

Our driveway is the only place that's not on a steep incline. I was just wishing today that I could put one of my trailers in the back yard, but it might roll away or would have to be on blocks on one side. I might go to a local campground and take my VW friend with me.

My camper is still in Alabama at Bo and Susan's. I'll be picking it up right before the TCT Panama City Beach Rally.

I'm thinking this will be a spring or summer event. What ever works for everyone here.

65 Callie, I just looked at photos of the "Winter camp-in" on Rob's site last night. repairingyesterdaystrailers.yuku.com/ Too funny. Best one was a woman in Michigan (I think) who made a life size snow sculpture with actual door and window from a rebuild. She dug out a place inside and is smiling at us through the "window".
