Just gotta say a big thank you to mobiltec. When my wife and I drove to Vancouver, WA (in a windy rainstorm) a few weeks ago to pick up our first project trailer, I started thinking I may, just may... need to figure out how these things are put together so I could facilitate the needed repairs . Oh sure, I know a bit about carpentry and auto repair but these metal covered, wood framed, paneled walls, football shaped structures, sitting precariously on a trailer frame may be a bit unique seeing how old they are. Upon arriving at our home outside of Yelm, WA I started pouring through the internet for "how to do it" articles, videos, forums. I wasn't finding much until I located a Shasta forum which had shut down (drats) but then I found this fine forum . After that, I located mobiltec's videos at cannedham.com and wow, life was good! Thanks mobiltec for all you do for us wanna be trailer fix-er-uppers. Your VIDs and now picture library of your restoration projects are the best out there, period. Reminder that this fine gentlemen does not charge for his services but does accept donations at his site. I just sent a few bones his way... well worth the price of admission to his shows for certain. Thanks again Larry for all you do for us. RJ

You're quite welcome. I love doing them and I'm glad they help you get where you want to go. I'm upgrading the website at the moment to make it easier to navigate and as you pointed out adding hundreds and hundreds of photos. Keep posting photos. I love watching my viewers progress.

I started off at the other end. I saw the videos that Mobiltec had on his site first and it got me hooked. From that point I was obsessed about vintage trailers. I would spend hours watching the video's and I didn't even have one. I wanted the smallest shasta out there but could not find one. then I saw my 1955 Rainbow. It was in such bad shape the wife would not go in it. (with many questions answered from Mobiltec)and 3 years later, I'm done. It has been a fantastic experience restoring a trailer, especially with all the help you can get on the net. I do not know anyone that lives around me with a vintage trailer my sole source of info came from forums and Mobiltec. Now, When I go to a car shows with my truck, the rainbow is always behind it. I most often question I get is, "You don't camp it this, it's only for show right?" My answer is. Yes, I camp. That's why I bought it.
Thanks again Mobiltec For all your help. My Dream became a reality
