When I pulled my threshold out, there was a little rotten piece of wood behind it. I think it went behind the lip that keeps the screen door in place. What did that piece look like? Was it beveled?
How tight should the door fit against the threshold?
(I guess this is interior. It goes inside the trailer.)

The main door should not even touch the thresh hold. It will scratch it if it does. The screen door stops against the thresh hold in most trailers. The lock side of the metal trim should look and act just like the thresh hold.

I'm guessing the wood was beveled, just support for the high part of the threshold.
