Oh, somebody, post some good info on hanging a door. It may be too late for me on this one but I'm sure others could use some good advice. I can tell you it is difficult with no one to help. I've had to be creative when I need another pair of hands.
Mine's temporarily hung. I obviously need putty tape under the trim on the exterior but should I put it under the trim on the interior door frame where the hinge screws into it? Sorry if that's a dumb question.

I've seen putty under the hinge but not sure it's necessary. I don't use putty on the hinge, to me, a tighter fit is better. Just hanging the door on my Loliner but not sure how to describe the process. I use blocks and mark where the hinge goes. (new door, no old holes) Had a visitor drop by, so maybe tomorrow...

Thanks, that's what I did. I put putty tape under the trim on the outside next to the skin but not under the part that the hinge goes over. I was so relieved when it lined up with the lines on the skin. Whew!
I put my door handle on, too. I did not put putty behind it. Because I used 1/4" birch when I rebuilt my door, the spindle (not sure that's the proper term) part of the door handle that goes through through the door to the inside handle did not go as far as it did originally, but went far enough to turn the handle. No room for putty tape behind my handle.

Might seal the top and sides of the handle with gutter seal, just a very thin layer.

Cut the hole for my L 200 door handle but couldn't install it... darn thing locks itself. Grrr. A trip to the locksmith might help, or I'll be hunting a new one.
