We will be replacing the non-tempered sides in the front glass windows to something safer.
Should we replace it with jalousie type windows for more ventilation, or keep it original and all one piece?
Is there much of a difference with the ventilation?
Thanks!

Changing the style of window is an individual decision. We have the same style trailer and just replaced the windows with tempered glass. We feel there is already enough ventilation.

Regular Jalousie windows will not fit the slanted holes on the sides in front. You will have to completely reframe that area and add some metal skin to it and it will look ugly. You will also devalue the trailer as it will no longer be era correct. As far as ventilation is concerned, who sits in their trailer on a nice day anyways? In my Shasta Series of videos you can see the entire process for refurbishing those side windows. You may use plexiglass or tempered. Regular glass will break as soon as you move the trailer or step into it.
