You may be sleeping on them. I wonder if the panels under the benches are the same Ashe as the walls?

That was the first thing I thought about when I saw mine. However , I came to the conclusion that they probably were not the same grade and the were too narrow to be of any use.

The panels don't quite look like ash... Ash is very grainy, more similar to oak. Pry not useful for the walls.

I wondered about it so it seemed worth asking.
Considering how difficult it is to find anything 1/8 in my area, I was happy just to hold a small piece in my hand.
On a side note, a cabinet maker I know is checking with his supplier on 1/8 birch for future projects. Wish me luck.
