I'd like to get your opinions on something, please. Dinette seats and table.... do you prefer the look of the table top laminate to match the seat color(s) or be a different color? If any of you have black and white seats, I'd love to see yours with the table top. (If you see this on the TCT fb group, yeah... that's me.) :-)

If you have black and white seats, neutrals, I think a color would look nice (pop) on the table. One of the boomerangs had black boomerangs in it. Can't remember which color or if is Formica or Wilsonart.

It has black, charcoal, and the slate blue I'm using.

The charcoal is cheap. You can order it from Lowe's or Home Depot because it's still in production.
I think the top color would go with your black and white seats. It would give you some color and nice light contrast to the black to keep things from being too dark.
The charcoal would go with it, too. That would give you all neutrals, a little boring but you'd have more colors to choose from for curtains and accessories. You could go with just about anything.

For some reason, I really dislike the charcoal boomerang. It's just too dark and not a retro color. Odd Formica would discontinue all the "good" colors and keep charcoal...

I have a sample of it (charcoal) and it is very dark. Formica's actually discontinued it with the others and brought it back for their anniversary with some really other nice patterns and colors. Their response to the questions about the colored boomerang was that they did not sell enough of it, not a market for it, and their anniversary patterns and colors were not meant to be retro.

I didn't care for it either until eating in a restaurant decorated in a retro theme that had it on the tables. Granted, the walls were mostly white and windows, makong it very bright in there.
I just cant decide if I want to have the same color as my seats or the blue. I guess I'll know when I have it on hand!
