anyone have a "handle" on where i can get a key for my LF88? it looks just like Lance's - but the right way down. a local locksmith wants about 100 bucks to re-key and the VT supply one is too short... thanks tracy Tracy, You got the "I don't want to do it" price.
It's the most simple lock ever made, find a "Grey Beard" locksmith.
Seriously, these are "throw away" locks and handles, all made in China now. Much cheaper to buy a pair of handles with matched keys. Many different sources are on the internet. They are used on all of the tear drop trailers. They come with the 5/16" square shaft much "too long", and you cut them to your length.

thanks John. i thot that. i'm waiting on a friend that used to be a locksmith to help out. not too urgent as i still need to rebuild the door! lol but the length of the handle is the issue - as the newer ones aren't as long on the outside to tuck under the outside latch. cheers t
