Hi, From a vintage trailer guy located in Santa Ana, CA. It's good to see lots of activity here.

For five bucks you could add some framing to the weak spots while it was apart. At least tie the rear edge wood together, and drop an extra wall stud over the wheel well.
Also you want to well stabilize the trailer when you are working on it. This is best done by leaving it supported slightly on the tires, slightly on the rear of the frame with jack stands, and slightly on the front of the frame with jack stands. When the skin comes off, and the framing is being repaired/replaced, and panels are being replaced you do not want it to move around at all. Make sure your door frame is still "in square" after the trailer is leveled and supported. It's best not to move the trailer while it apart in this state.

I never gave much thought to things shifting if a camper without the skin is moved. As I said, this isn't mine but it's the same year. I love photos like this for reference sake. A picture is worth a thousands words, isn't it?
