I've painted my 68 Aristocrat Loliner, but the fiberglass window shade is super yellow and looks not so cool against the fresh white. Does anyone know a successful way to deal with this? Bleach? Or is there replacement material around? I'd like to keep it translucent, vs painting. Thanks, Scottie

We paint ours. You can buy some neat clear (sun proof) stuff at HD and replace the original but it involves taking the shield apart and possibly shimming the new material. Here's a pix on a 64 Cardinal:

Great idea! That looks super clean - I have seen the material, so it should be easy to find. Thanks. Scottie

Does anyone have more details on this (Sun proof) product? Maybe a link? Its sold at Home Depot? What is is typically used for? Just trying to figure out where to look when I go there. My shade is very yellow and this would make it look much better!

I would start in the pole barn, shed,Patio roof area near the corrugated panels.

I think it's called Suntuff, clear polycarbonate roofing. In the roofing section at Home Depot. Not cheap, about $35 a panel...
