I took the grandbabies fishing this evening then to a local park to play, from the lake to the park is a road I dont know if I had ever been on so of course I'm looking for old campers and found this diamond in the rough about 8 miles from me!! a 58-64 Shasta airflyte looks like. I stopped and knocked on the door, no one was home. I can check back and get info if anyone is interested. may check into myself.

went by again today and no one was home, they may work evenings, I cant help but be interested in this even though I am really wanting a compact. I cant believe I have found 2 within 8 miles of my house in Arkansas, didnt think many were here, but I am always looking.

I finally caught someone home, the guy said he bought it from the original owner and the title was actually still in there name, he camped in it twice last year, and said he had done some interior work and rebuilt the back wall and stuff, but never offered to show me inside it. it's a 58 with a step. nice camper. he also told me about an area he saw a shasta compact, I spent over an our driving in the area but never found the compact.

you may be right, I was looking for a 1st generation Compact that was suppose to be next to a house with underpining around it like it was set up permanent. but I did spot this jewel about 5 miles from where he said. sorry for the bad angle with the pic, but it was all I could see from the road, just had a small opening between the trees, so I zoomed my camera in to get a bit closer.
