Hello Vintage Trailer Talk! I am a former tent camper, turned pop up camper, turned vintage travel trailer camper all within one year! I just picked up this peach yesterday for $1500 and her name is Phyllis (cause I'm an ego maniac)... The inside has been gutted and redone less than 3 years ago and it still looks good, but the guy who did it was obviously just a carpenter who showed no love in the restoration. It's very utilitarian. So I've come here to learn and get some good advice in getting her a facelift.

Did he provide pics of the work he did? Diid he say that he'd done rot repair? If so, then your work will be largely cosmetic, making sure that you keep the tongue weight appropriate. Congrats and good luck!

Congrats and good luck! Yes sir. Absolutely everything was redone. He even removed the skin. Added new framing and insulation, new wiring... etc, etc, etc. The heater, interior lights, wiring center/fuse box, all appear to have come from a cheap, 70s or 80s model pop up (I know because I'm very familiar with pop ups). Sooo, restoring Phyllis won't happen because nothing original but the stove and sink are left. I will just renovate and make it nice.

Excellent! You are one lucky new owner to have had all the icky stuff done. That alone is worth the sale price. Have fun with the renovation and make sure you post pics of your progress. We are all trailer voyeurs here.
