CA DMV registration says "FLDST" which some other sites ID as field and stream. 12' with dinette facing door, kitchen in front and bunks in back. Owner bought in 1991 and states is 1965, but all tags and VINs are not visible. Anyone recognize this money pit? Not sure where is the correct place to post this...some sites have a "what is this thing?" section, so maybe the mods can move if this is not the right place. EDIT...I cannot figure out how to get this forum to recognize an imgur link, so here it is...hope you click imgur.com/mnOmoq7

Hi Susie...do you have any more info to share? I can't find reference or photos of a similar trailer anywhere on the web, and I'm usually pretty good at that sort of thing.
P.s. what did you do to get the photo to show?

Neat trailer! It looks pretty close to how they did in '65, although it could be a tad later. Some had the curved front and back into the early 70s. The windows might give a better clue. Do you have any pics of the inside?

Field and Stream to me too. It's earlier than 68, or it would have front/rear clearance lights on the roof... Interior pix will tell us more.

I wouldn't even try to guess from one picture, as many units were almost exact copies of each other but as vikx stated the newest it would be is 1967 because federal mfg rules changed the amount and location of marker lights for 1968. What makes you question the title? My guess would be that it is accurate. The vin should be on the tongue near the hitch but most likely you would have to start taking the paint off to find it, and if you do it will probably match the number on the title and won't tell you anything unless you had a data base of the serial numbers for Field and stream trailers which to my knowledge doesn't exist.

Should have said it "could be" a Filed and Stream. Little info out there and almost every year and size is different. Interior photos might give some insight. The decal in front is in the right place for F&S and the skins look like the skins on other models. There is a Facebook page for Field and Stream, someone there might be able to help. A pic of the other side, especially the door could give a clue. To post the photos from Imgur, right click on the pic itself and select "copy image location". Use "Go Advanced" and select the image icon and past the image location in the box and insert. Also, you can try using the BBcode in the imbed image selection. Just copy and paste. Here's a 67 15' F&S from the FB page:

Thanks for all the comments guys. Here is an album with a few more shots I just took of the door side and interior. I don't really question the title...just hoping for a little more information since I've never seen a model that looks exactly like this and I can't find the FLDST nomenclature explained on the DMV site. link

Love your stove top! I do believe I saw one like that in some of the interior pics on the FB page but that doesn't mean much. I'm thinking the big window in the door is consistent with other models of Field and Stream from that time.
I know what you mean about title info. All the DMV had on my Shasta was 1962 Shasta. I was just elated to find the true year! I knew what model I had and had them add that to the title; the DMV lady was clueless and questioned if that was what I really wanted.

OK, Noob question here...How is it possible that 2 weeks of googling, every incarnation of 1965, Field, Stream result in absolutely no photos of a trailer in this exact configuration? I'm a bit of a tech guy, and am usually good at this...did they just build them to order? Is this just so undesirable, they are all out in a field near a stream like mine was?

My guess, just from what I've seen in the internet, is that they made several different models and only produced or sold a small number of them. And then there is still the possibility that it's NOT a Field & Stream.

Good thing everything but the wood is mostly intact...

Take a look thru these photos: www.sistersonthefly.com/photo-gallery/preview/524There are many, many trailers. Look for similarities in shape, wheel wells, window type and placement, door, window or not? etc. Not all list the brand, but it's a wealth of vintage trailers...
