I went and looked on the exterior and found a row of screws that shouldn`t be there (didn`t notice them while I was painting). Turns out this row of screws is whats holding this 2x4 in, along the back of the floor. So these all need to be removed, holes filled with liquid weld and painted over.

While Bo was dealing with the rotten framing in the rear, I decided to start straightening the creased exterior skin on the lower curbside rear seam as we had it opened up to help make the framing go a little easier.

So back for a new stain to be mixed, with a piece of the old paneling, and a piece of the new to practice on. Not perfect but much better and passable We also used some flat trim which we tacked above the new paneling to hide the transition between the upper original paneling and the lower new paneling.

Now with three days left before we left and Bo had to work his fulltime job until we left. He had the new counter top cut out and ready. So day one I got it fitted in and the back splash done. Oh also peeled the brown floral contact off the cabinet door and painted it red.

Day 2 was real productive...I managed to reface half of the kitchen with scraps of the old rear paneling and fit the fridge and microwave.

One day left before we leave. I managed to get the new flooring laid and trimmed out before lunch...the rug is one I crocheted with the left over fabric from the bed quilt.

I then painted behind the rack that I`d made last year, red to match the upper cabinet door in the kitchen.

Not getting any younger, we have a problem getting up off the dang porta-potti in such a small space. I decided with 1/2 a day left, I`d surprise Bo with an outhouse INSIDE. He loved it. He was so surprised when he opened the closet door to look at the flooring as we hadn`t even discussed a new potti Sorry about the fuzzy pic. I`ll try and remember to take another one. I used the cupboard door that was originally under the stove area and left over birch and trim from another project and stained it all with the left over stain fron the lower rear paneling.
