As I drove around tonight along a bunch of back roads, in search of some Shasta wings for my '60 Airflyte I haven't even started working on yet, I spotted a bunch of OTHER campers, saying "ooh, I want that one..." and "oh, that could be my next one. One of them are here, the first photo in the Facebook album... the rest are of my Airflyte. Anyone know what this unknown little camper is? (sorry, the photo quality isn't great...). I asked around my hometown about who lives here and owns this camper (yes, I live in a tiny town where everyone knows everyone) and rumor has it that the owner is using this as a chicken coop...GASP!!! Facebook Album Here

because I'd love to have some original ones. If not, then I'll most certainly do that.

I notice you are from Maine.... Do you belong to the FB group New England and Beyond Vintage campers? Its a vintage camper owners group that camp together, share knowledge and resources? ?

This is the way I find my trailers. Matter of fact I just bought two in the last ten days. Haven't even shown them on this site yet. One I still need to pick up from 250 miles away.

I've put about 200 - 300 miles on in and around far Northern Maine in the past 2 weeks and I've spotted my next 6 or so... haha. I even saw what appeared to be an early '60s Shasta compact WITH original paint and her wings. We were towing our 1999 5th Wheel Terry on the way home from a weekend camping trip, and traveling about 55 MPH or I'd have stopped and chatted them up.

"Chatted them up" must be a Maine thing because the only other person I have ever heard use that phrase lives in Maine and has a very nice 61 Shasta Deluxe.... LOL...
