Hi folks. I just joined this forum yesterday and have already found such a wealth of information, the correct year of my Shasta to begin with! (Thanks Ross!) I have yet to bring Lola (yes, I've already named her) home, but I have so many questions, most of them pertaining to things I need to purchase to complete the type of renovation I have in mind. I know that probably each of my questions can be answered by looking through the several different threads, but at this point, it seems wildly overwhelming to read through each and every of them, taking notes and making lists as I go along. So, I'm hoping you all won't be offended if I ask all my questions right here in one post? I'm SURE that someone here has done a near total restoration on a '60 Airflyte and might have all the answers. Lola, in her current state, is partially complete. Missing some badges, grab handle, wings (cringe), icebox/fridge, etc. Without even having it home to look at, I know that there are other things I will need. So, I guess my initial questions are: * How many twisty nails will I need to replace most of the birch? * How many screws and what sizes will I need to take down all the trim pieces and windows, shine up, and replace with new screws? * Does there exist, anywhere on this interweb, photos of the original interior color scheme so I can try to reproduce my bench seats, Gaucho bed covering, curtains, and floor tiles with something very close to original? I think that's it for now, and I'm sure that in the meantime I'll come up with many many more questions! And thanks all in advance for any help. ~ Theresa ~

Here are some pics from a '63 Airflyte, with a build date in '62. First the gaucho cover - good luck finding that. Then what I believe is the original dinette seat - there are gold metallic threads in the cloth parts.

Awesome Yas, thanks! Does anyone know if these color scheme remained the same for several years, or a couple years? Mine has a late '59 build date, but sold as a '60.

I have a 59. There was not much difference in the Airflytes up till about the time they changed the side dinette windows to Jalousy types.
You will need 500 screws for the exterior metal skin if you replace them all. Different sizes of course.
I DO have an original ice box for your trailer already boxed up and ready to ship. I am asking $175 for it plus shipping if you want it. The shipping will be expensive. Probably around $100 depending on where you live. PM me if intrested.
