Working without shelter was a downer. I considered building a garage but $25K for a $3K camper seemed over the top even to me. My wife thought I was nuts to even considering it.

Very nice... And I think I heard that a hundred hours and a thousand dollars is just the beginning of the cost..lol My experience is going like this: $1750 for the camper $500 for camping gear $1200 for repairs $50 for a trailer dolly $1000 for the lean-to on the house $30,000 for a bigger truck (TBD) Camping is expensive! And people tell me I'm getting off cheap;-)

To funny.. I was just telling the wife this past weekend the "birth of camping" here in the states..$$ And when everyone said "camping is cheap".... No it's not.. It becomes less expensive once you aquire all of the gear.. LOL By the way if anyone wants to climb K2 next summer? I have some Knarly tents in the gear locker.. Got your name, all over them.. Retro 85 ..

We try not to tally the costs... Kinds puts a damper on the fun. We are planning to buy a vinatge car to pull it.. That's going to pull the price up... But as my mom reminds me, lots of people in this world would love to have our "problems".
