So I removed the floor heater and am left with a large gaping hole! I am sure I can add some framing 2x4 beneath to give me something to hold onto, and some plywood cut to fit and screwed in. I would hate to have to buy a 4x8 sheet of sound board to try to match everything up...and then with the gap/seams around the edges wondering what to seal it all up with? And really, all the seams underneath of the soundboard look like they should be sealed up again.
Fence post paint? POR15? Some sort of tape? I am not doing a frame off resto by any means, so just want to slather the whole underbelly with something...undercoating? Rhinoliner? anyone got a great idea or gone down this road?

I did purchase a 4x8 sheet of sound board to fill the hole left by my floor furnace removal. You're welcome to it and I could even deliver it when I come to Denver to pick up my roof!

Any suggestions on how to seal up the underneath? The seams between the soundboards, and this new seam created by the hole in the floor? Noonan? McFly?

This is one place that GOOP is OK... I never bother with sealing up the seams in the sound board. I just make them as tight as I can. But if you have a gap, goop would be OK here.
