I saw this on the net, it's a cooler modified to look like a pirate chest, which is neat, but I got to thinking this would make a neat battery box as well. the purist may cringe, but I think it would be cool.

That is a pretty cool idea. I was just going to use a vintage Little Brown Chest cooler I picked up off CL. It's bare aluminum and has a texture pressed into it. Polishing it up nice and to preserve the cooler use the drain for the wiring and just add mounting straps to the lid latch and hinge screws, so there are no new holes needed. Probably just use some wood wedges to hold the battery right witching the cooler.

I need that for my Lakewood! Arrrr!!! I love that! LOL! I'm purist to a point. When I realize I cannot save everything and cannot do a true restore, than I can allow myself to have some fun. That my trailer friend is fun!
