I use school bus tail lights = they mount flush and work great And you can see them at a distance.

E trailer carries then I'll post a picture when i get home they r nice and big I don't have the led ones which would be much brighter but these work great

The PO had installed 1956 Ford Fairlane taillights on the trailer so we left them...they have an authentic 50's look!

All of the late 50s Ford tail light lens make good lights and a flat backing plate is easy to construct leaving plenty of room for a universal socket and bulb.

I like the 1st one, but I would find a chrome trim ring with a visor or eyebrow for them, you can buy just the trim rings, I dont recall where I found mine.
