We packed up Tallulah Belle (or Tee Girl, in Cajun parlance) and went camping in Fredricksburg, Texas over Memorial Day weekend. We have not finished all the repairs to the water system since the winter freeze and burst line shindig, so we stayed in an RV park to have access to showers. This was the first trip we attempted with our three Snowshoe cats, but we have been acclimating them to the trailer for a few months so they feel at home there. We have completed the replacement of the wrinkled rear skin, so the rear curve finally looks the way it is supposed to.
Packed up, hitched up and ready to go!
We stayed at the KOA Fredricksburg park, located 6 miles east of the town, a nice quiet park with lots of live oak trees and only a half mile from the Pedernales River.
As folks left and better sites came available, we moved to a site between live oak trees, close to the entrance. We liked this location much better.

It rained on us three out of four days, so we spent a good deal of time inside.. here is where the flatscreen comes in handy. Notice the three cats all taking it easy!
Small flash of sky just before sundown and more rainclouds. This was the first trip to use the new awning and we loved it.
We had a great time in Fredricksburg, as it has MANY wineries, great German/Texas heritage and culture, arts, music and food. One thing that was kinda cool is all the people taking photos and wanting to talk to us about the Shasta. We met two other campers with vintage rigs, one was a '64 Avion and the other a '68 Roadrunner. Alas the trip was over too quickly but we are planning our next adventure already!

Thanks for sharing! Looks like an awesome time and your trailer looks wonderful. I just love this pic of Ziva! What a pose! Now, I have to ask, how did you manage the litter box with three in such close quarters? I have a hard time with one or two at home.

Cool beans! That is a nice looking rig and sounds like a interesting place in Texas to visit. That reminds me.. I need to rig our flat screen as well.. And the Pelts on those kitty cats are awesome!

We used two of the disposable litter trays, one inside the curbside dinette storage area and one under the table, and changed all the litter everyday. The cats had no problems, we had no accidents or inappropriate bathroom issues at all. We did install the rear bunk as a storage area and Ziva staked that out as her private perch, Deuce, our big male, slept on the dinette table and Gibbs slept on the gaucho. We were anticipating some kind of drama from the cats but they were troopers.

Absolutely great maiden voyage.... Love your second choice of spots. I have a place like that in a campground that I call Two Trees. The best thing about a trailer verses a tent is when the weather turns sour. Looks like you have that test out of the way now.
Congratulations!

Hi! I was wondering what color of marine grade vinyl you bought from greatlakeskipper and how many yards of the pleated and how many yards of the smooth finish? Was it the canary yellow? Thanks for your answer in advance!
