Hi All, first time joining a forum of any kind, but I just made a life long dream come true with the purchase of my first trailer and realize how invaluable the knowledge of others is going to be on this journey. She is a 1971 Cygnet. Not a lot of info on them, cause they were made in New Brunswick, Canada and only for a short time. So if anyone else has one, it would be great to chat. I love the design... Really bright and roomy. I got a good deal on the trailer, but there is definitely some water damage to contend with. The stove is gone and the old propane fridge is toast as well. We are really just looking to have a good time with the trailer for a few years and are not too worried about restoring it for resale, so we may not even run new propane lines and might just use cooler or maybe an icebox and cook outside with our camp stove. All the electrical is good a the previous owners did a good job of that. We are planning to fix the bits of rotted frame (that i'm assuming are buried in there) and re-panel the whole thing inside. A lot of the cabinets can be salvaged, but we are going to rebuild the kitchen counter and sink area. It needs a new ceiling vent. I imagine that ripping out the old propane fridge is going to be a real headache...I'm sure I'll be looking for advise on that process. Anyway, just wanted to say hello and I look forward participating the forum...maybe even eventually having more than questions to contribute. Here is the trailer...

That is really cool! Please don't be a stranger. Many of the trailers that have not got a lot of info/history are not that different from the ones that do. Much of the construction was the same, so many of the problems you may encounter will be easily fixed with the same techniques that others will use. There is plenty of information here, and lotsa help from knowledgeable folks.
