1959 Shasta Airflyte...I am confused by the choices of screws and what to use... I want to paint the J rail but what what type of screw to use? Aren't you supposed to use stainless on the J Rail...? But they won't take paint will they? Same question I guess for the exterior dinette windows screws, what type to use?

#8 Pan Head SS screw. 3/4" or 1" length depending on your wood.
Why paint the J rail? It's looks much better polished to match your windows, and eyebrows.

You can use stainless if you aren't going to paint the rails. If you are use regular steel.
