I am getting ready to start removing the skin from my trailer, but I am confused by the rows of screws on both the back and front of the trailer... Are these supposed to be here or are they something the previous owner did to it? I was under the impression that the skin attached at each side and also by a flap of aluminum hidden under the join seam.. So I don't want extra holes in my trailer unless they are supposed to be there. They seem evenly spaced.. But I don't know if that indicates factory or not. Since there are so few of this model of trailer around I have nothing to compare to.

Let it thaw out and then clean up the screws and take a few more pics so we can see them. If a gravel guard was added then it would be placed over the original aluminum and yes it might be screwed in. I do it differently and can be seen on my 57 Shasta series.

I dont think it is ice, looks like that is just the paint running down on the frame and their is silicone or something over each screw head, my guess it is just screwed to the wood beam behind it might be the bottom piece is separate and tucked up under the upper piece.

It is not ice.. it is just paint. The screws are on the front and the back.. I guess my basic question is.. "Are they necessary?".. I will post some more photos as I disassemble the trailer. I am going to start withe the front repair as it is the most labour intensive. The right front corner has separated from the frame and the door no longer closes, so have some rebuild ahead of me.. rags stuffed in there, just like on your videos Mobletec.

I have only seen that once. Had no idea it was such a popular idea LOL. Mine was the original front curtains that they stuffed in there with a lot of calking. Amazing. I couldn't believe what I was looking at.
