One of our members is in the process of becoming an assistant to Ross. Hang in there and hopefully we'll be getting some answers.

Ross is OK, just extremely busy. Life gets in the way. I emailed him a while back and he said he'd be back.

Good afternoon,
First time poster here! I grew up fishing on the Chesapeake Bay with my grandparents, and we had a vintage Shasta camper (don't remember the model at this very moment).
My grandfather passed away at the end of May 2019, and I just came across a Shasta camper yesterday that I am interested in buying. According to the emblem on the camper and my research, it looks to be a Shasta Starflyte, with the stamped number of P20395 on the trailer.
Any idea what year it is? Looks like it came out of the Pennsylvania plant.
Thank you,
Wes

Hi, we just picked up this little camper with only a bill of sale. The previous owner bought his home 21 years ago and the camper was on the property. We already have a 63 Astrodome. We believe this is a Shasta Airflyte, and think the vin is V8020. We would greatly appreciate any help you can give us.

Hello, this is my first posting to this board. I've been following a lot of the posts on these vin's. Can anyone help me with the year of this Shasta Compact? V25355. I'm guessing late 60's from looking at other vins on here, as well as other things I've noticed, such as the color of the refrigerator, which is avacoda green which I remember started becoming popular in that era. I included the only picture I've got at the moment. I'm afraid it has had a rough life, but I'm looking forward to resurrecting it to enjoy many more years of camping to come! Thanks in advance. www.flickr.com/gp/supagrunt/44Hu8d

Thanks in advance. www.flickr.com/gp/supagrunt/44Hu8d My speculated guess, from the experience I've gathered on various years of Compacts, it would be a 68 or 69. The reasoning behind this is 1) still has Jalousy windows & 2) Mesa siding (but that could be different from one manufacturing to another. Oh, and even though they are not original, your's has the parking / running lights on the upper corners which were required beginning in '68. (my '67 don't have them) '67 I believe was the last year for the 4 or 5" brake siding and the framed awning windows started about 1970. If not mistaken, the V means it was produced in Goshen, IN Just my observations and thoughts, didn't say they were good ones.
