Our 1972 Go Tag Along Trailer has a refrigerator roof vent, we aren't going to be using the original fridge anymore and are actually considering installing a icebox instead. If we do install a fridge we are planning on just using a cheap dorm room fridge and figured we could vent it on the side of the cabinet of where it would be going.
What should we do with the refigrator roof vent? I kind of want to remove it and repair the roof.

You might offer it in the Parts wanted/for sale section. Somebody may need one.

Good suggestion Vikx...I might be needing one for a project I have upcoming. What size is the vent?
I read the post wrong the first time I guess. If you are looking for encouragement to keep or remove, one or the other...It won't hurt anything to remove it. Just remember to use a matching material for the patch (usually aluminum), and install the patch as you would a roof vent, using putty tape and sealer just at the edges of the patch, and shim the frame around the perimeter of the patch so that water will tend to run away from the sealed edge.
