Great going! Glad you decided on it. It looks like a great unit to start out with and it has lots of potential. Title not an issue I take it? (Good news if it isn't).
I think you are going to fit right in here after you have time to let is sink in. You will fall in love with the project. It gets really addictive. And it seems you have already thought through most of the major concerns. This is going to be a great toy. And don't be afraid to throw ideas around. Spit-balling with others that love it too is a lot of fun, as well as educational. Thing is, you don't realize you are learning when you are having fun!

Thanks for the words of encouragement! My family thinks I'm crazy, BTW. My sister- whose idea of 'roughing it' is a night at Motel 6- all but projectile vomited when I showed her the photos. She's city and I'm country, 'nuff said. My mom was equally horrified, although she is starting to come around; I think she and I will have a lot of fun sewing curtains and decorating it (which will be MUCH further down the road, of course). Besides, she's always wanted a teardrop trailer- I've even offered to let her use this one if she ever wants to travel. My father is in very poor health and doesn't have much time left, so this will give me something to focus my energy on (rather than spend my time worrying about things I cannot change). I just love the fact that this trailer has so much storage space. There's even room for most, if not all, of my fishing poles; I have over a dozen of them, so they can be a pain to stow. The PO has a system rigged to suspend airplanes on the ceiling, which will work beautifully (and with very little modification) to hang my fishing poles up and out of the way. Heck, there's even space for my tackleboxes, guns, tent, screen house, folding table, coolers- and anything else I could think of to shove in there, lol. The current electrical system is 20A, which gives me enough juice to run the AC and fridge at the same time (or, a portable electric space heater and the fridge). However, if I want to use the microwave, I'll have to shut off the AC. That isn't a super big deal, though. I've been looking at solar to run a Fan-Tastic Fan, a small circulating fan, a USB charger, and LED lighting. I think perhaps a single 12V battery (possibly two of them?), a charge controller, and this solar panel ( 105 Watt Grape Solar Panel from Home Depot) might be just the ticket. I also want to upgrade from the current 4 pin trailer harness to a 7 pin, so that my truck's electrical system can assist in charging the battery (or batteries). BTW I even found pink camo bedding for it- not to mention the matching valance, which is the perfect size for curtains for this camper. Heck, I even found pink camo vinyl for the outside- though we're talking about something that probably won't be installed for a fairly long time. (I kind of like the 'rough' look, since it doesn't draw attention and makes the camper look less appealing to thieves IMO)

As long as you have room for gun storage and an ammo locker...
