Am I the only one with 13" 4 bolt pattern wheels on my Compact?
I have my original moon, cone center hub caps but they are dented, rusted and very little chrome is left. I'll paint them and use them if I have to but I wanted to replace them. VTS ones will not fit my wheels. Any suggestions?

I'd look for 1960's era Ford Falcon 13" wheel hubcaps.
Do your wheels have "the nubs" on the center that clip "inside the hubcap"?

Measure the inside diameter of the existing hub cap that fits your wheels (measure where it touches the wheels) then order the proper size moons to fit. There are three sizes available from most suppliers. JC Whittney sells regular moons that are just a dome they don't come to a point, but will fit most trailers.

Thanks, Bill. I'll check J.C. Whitney. Didn't think about that!
Found some Falcon hub caps on eBay but they are a little pricey! They are kinda' cool looking. Thanks, John.

You posted your picture while I was typing those are ford falcon wheels and the caps are standard moons. If JC Whitney doesn't show them on line call them and ask for baby moons and give them the size.

Before you spend any money on hubcaps I would pull the tires off of those rusty wheels, and sandblast them, and see if they are even useable. Steel wheels rust from the inside (tire side) and also the outside. Make sure they are safe. In my area, it runs about $60 per wheel to have them blasted and powder coated.

Thanks, John. I have considered just replacing them. The PO had 12" wheels on it and put the original ones back on it for me. Wheels and springs are one of my final things to take care of. If you think the wheels look bad, you should see my springs.

I wondered about the wheels on the Compact I'm picking up in a couple of weeks out west. Any suggest on the best place to buy new wheels?

NC, you really do have my twin. Forgive me for getting off topic here, but when you get a good look at her again, I'd really like to see what kind of trim you have around your front window, interior.

Sure thing. I'll post some photos around May 12th after driving out to CO. this thread on tires and rims is timely. I asked a tire place to clean up the rims before mounting tires, but you know how that goes...

One of our 61 compacts has 4 lug wheels with the original cone caps, the other has 5 lug. I took the 5 lugs with me when I brought home the 2nd compact as I knew the tires were shot. Thought I had my bases covered. 200 mi later discovered it had 4 lug and slowly towed the thing home on old cracked tires. I brought an air tank along and had to stop several times to keep one of them inflated.
So what was the common wheel on a compact? 4 lug I assume? What if any years had what?
