Anyone with experience in titling/registering a travel trailer in Georgia with no paperwork other than a BOS?

This may help: motor.etax.dor.ga.gov/motor/TitleSection/ts_NeedAGATitle.aspxI believe you fill out a form and have the trailer inspected by a sheriff or other law enforcement. They run a check to make sure it isn't stolen. If it's from a state that requires trailers to be titled, you may have a problem. Best to go to your local DMV and find out before you put any time or money into repairs. Good luck! (We are in Georgia and have 2 Shastas but didn't have the issue you're facing)

Before getting too "legal" and visible, do your homework. It's possible Georgia will not issue a title but a nearby state might. (friend, relative, friend of your pastor, etc) My state (WA) requires a 3 yr wait, but a new title is do-able.
From my experience with California regs, it's a nightmare you don't want to go thru. Just a phone call puts a person "on record" as a possible owner or such and such a vehicle... And then they charge you hundreds in back registration fees...
Be careful and be aware.

I'll call the County tag office tomorrow. Frankly, I don't care if I have a title as long as I can get the trailer registered and get a tag for it.

I spoke with the County tag office today. Georgia does not title vehicles older than 1986. In order to tag the trailer and drive on the road I will have to complete a form, pay $12.00, and have it inspected by the Sheriff's office. They will even issue a new VIN plate if I cannot locate the original number on the trailer.
But, again, no title.

Hey that solves that problem with very little effort and not much money.

I knew there had to be a way, especially on such an old unit. If needed, I could also have gone the route of home-built trailer.
