Hi All,
I'm just joining the forum to celebrate the acquisition of our solid 68 Loliner S/T. We did enough research to recognize the horrible from the restorable. But along the way I got stuck on the idea that there was just one trailer I wanted - the Loliner S/T! Reason being, I have a slammed 64 Suburban tow vehicle, so the LO ride of the Loliner was a perfect match. The light weight of this unit is really extraordinary, and my wife insisted on a potty and shower. So the search was made super difficult with such a narrow criterion.
I was watching listings within 1500 miles with no luck. Beaucoup 15s but nada 17 ST. So late one night one shows up cheap on CL some 200 miles away. It showed some age, but the ad claimed with a little TLC it was good to go. By morning there were 5 people lined up to come see, and i couldn't get there for days. So I ended up wiring the money sight unseen!
I was super lucky on this one. I picked it up a week later to see it was ultra solid and lived most of its life in desert climate. We have it home now and are starting our resto. Needs very little work on skin. Some small water issues, but really looks good. I'll post some pics when we get that figured out!
Our big plan is a coast trip on our upcoming 40th anniversary with the 'burb and toaster behind.

Congrats on your new 68 Loliner. Please share some pics with us. And really glad that your sight unseen purchased worked out well for you! That's taking a big chance, but you're not the first that took a chance and it paid off!

Welcome, it sounds like you had a successful hunt and find. Just take the time to check it out completely before heading out. These trailers are great but they are old so check frame and running gear very carefully for wear or cracks. Also check the sill boards for rot as they support the entire trailer. Your trailer and burb will attract a lot of attention where ever you go. Have fun

Welcome to the Aristocrat's, I too have acquired a 68 Lo Liner, anxious to see how you do the restore. As soon as I get out of this wheelchair I will start on mine, not much longer. Mine was headed for the deer woods and all lighting has been taken out so in process of trying to do the lighting. Also found out that it had a fire in the back, so now I know the fun begins.
