Also it makes a nice doorway for little critters! Well if your trailer is in storage and all the critter holes are plugged that should not be a problem. I keep my fridges clean anyhow so this is not something I think I need to do. Baking soda in the fridge at all times is also a good idea. Being that I am in the middle of my second fridge install I am getting lots of links thrown at me by the google gods. But now at least I know what those little thingies are for.

i always thought they were to lock the door shut on this type of pull handle the handle does that job. I went out and found these little guys on mine and tried them out. They work.

Well, one thing you DON'T want to do is put fish in the frig and forget to take it out before turning off the propane. Yup, it stinks. It was the summer of 1990, a beautiful fishing spot on the Snake River. Put the trout in the frig of our cab-over camper. Arrived at our destination in South Dakota. We were staying in my Aunt's house, so we turned off the propane in the camper. Several days later, "What's that horrible smell???!!!". Well, it took many months and lots of cleaning and airing out to get rid of the smell, or most of it. Lesson learned.

EEWWWW is right!! How about a freezer full of meat, camper permanently parked, faulty wiring at the old rundown campground, low propane in tanks, been away for several weeks, oh and did I forget to mention I was pregnant at the time. WORST SMELL EVER! I had to stay several campsites away! Poor husband............
