I bought a 1971 shasta 14 foot camper. Question is the belly has nothing but exposed wood and looks weathered but strong and no rotten wood. what do I need to do to protect that. I was thinking a sealer and or a liner to go under it. any suggestions on the cheapest and easiest thing to do?

Somewhere a while back someone suggested a coating product...think it was fence post sealer...not sure. Someone with a better memory than myself will likely remind me....
I would not suggest closing it in underneath. There are several models of trailers around that had enclosed metal belly pans. The trouble is that anything which leaks from above becomes trapped inside. The enclosure just holds the wet in and rots the flooring from the bottom up. You're looking at the very argument for this...it is 40+ years and no substantial rot.
It would also be advisable while you are under there to inspect the metal framing as well. Make sure there are no breaks in the welds or missing pieces. In that case, a little cleaning and sealing of the metal is a good idea as well. There are expensive products like POR-15 that work for this. I hate to go ahead and recommend something like a rubberized undercoating...That would be easy enough to find and to apply.
