Hi, I'm Paula and I'm addicted to my Shasta. Here are some of the first photos taken of my trailer the day I got it home; 3 weeks ago. First thing to go was the frame for the awning and the carpeting. I have since removed the bed and seat boxes for the dinette and begun to repair the water damage on the back wall which was caused by an air conditioner that used to be in the back window. The water damage on the ceiling worries me a little, but from of some of the pics of restorations I've seen so far, there's not much that can't be fixed.......... I hope those are not famous last words!

Hi Paula, and welcome!
Cute little Shasta. You've got some ceiling work ahead of you, but the walls and cabinets look pretty good! Expect some edge wood rot as well. Lots of good advice here.

Every day I have new questions about how to approach this project. I hope to find some of those answers here.

Fine steel wool and Mother's polish on the stove top. Something mild to start with on the oven door, wouldn't want to scratch the porcelain. Soft Scrub maybe?

Thank you! It is very similar from the outside to the Loflyte, isn't it? There is a product called Quick Glo that I used to use to clean up chrome bicycle rims, but I haven't had any luck finding it locally. Seems it is only available online these days. Anyway, I ordered some and can't wait to see that stove top cleaned up. I will look for Mother's polish in the meantime. The door is also chrome but more heavily rusted. We'll see what works on that! 4

You can find Mother's polish at most auto part stores. It's like magic.
