I like the way they look, the metal surround.

Not only have I seen one, but my wife & I have been sloooooowly rebuilding one (skin-off, with many subtle upgrades) for several years, and it is almost ready to go! I'm new to this forum, but have been kickin' around on others, especially Repairing Yesterdays Trailers for a long time. I'll do a formal intro soon, and post some pictures of our SCS. It's really a wonderful layout with a great deal of flexibility and versatility built in to its systems, which we've further enhanced with our mods. The one that was for sale at the beginning of this thread may not have looked it, but was actually in very good shape, and one of the only ones of the many, many, many that I've seen that still had it's original wings. They're an odd size, (30" x 8") and I searched for years before I finally found a pair last year. I also noted in the pics that the table appears to be the original, (also very rare) but only half of it is installed. It was originally very long and folded in half for storage when not in use. Ours was missing when I bought our trailer, and we're using a similar, but narrower, version from the rear of an SC / Astrodome. I wold love to have the original full width, aqua with gold flake Formica....Finder's fee offered...

You should post photos of your camper when you're ready. I'd love to see them. You'll have something special that will leave people like me scratching my head when I notice the door in the rear. And I agree about original Formica tables, they're great.

I'll read through all of the tutorials here, and set up my Photobucket account over the next few days, and then post a few pics. It's been quite a project, and after so much work spread over about 7 years, its exciting to see it nearing completion. My only remaining major tasks are flooring and paint, and I hope to have it in the body shop soon to have the latter taken care of. Very nice to see you here too VK! Tells me that this is gonna be another well run board! You bought your mess, er, ah, trailer, from Tom & Kathie didn't you? Oof!Looks like they did a bit of random demo after they bought it! What's the status of it now? I'm sure that if anyone can make it all better, it'll be you!

Hi I am new to this forum. I am happy to say that I did in fact purchase this trailer. My husband and I thought it was in good shape and looked over it very well before purchasing it. I started to work on it as soon as I got it home and cannot wait to get it all finished and take it camping this summer. I liked the layout, I thought it was unique.

What's the status of it now? I'm sure that if anyone can make it all better, it'll be you! Hi Mark, I actually got the trailer from Kathie after several years. I first looked at it in this condition approx. 2007?? User name "Tamara" had decided it was too much for her. Anyway, the trailer was gutted and had lots of cute little brackets trying to hold the framing together. The edge trim had been re-puttied and installed with #10 hex heads, really ugly. Paint is rolled on and peeling. The roof is badly dented, probably from being towed sans rafters. Stove is grey and cool. Heater gone. Holding tank is removed and trailer leaks like a sieve. For those of you who want to see: vikxtrailers1.shutterfly.com/573SCS has several in front of it. It will be a spendy build because of the skin issues. Very curious what shape it was in when it changed hands back when...

Looks just like Miss Belle--which is a 64, but identical as far as I can tell by your pictures!
