Hamlet likes anything with a good sized table and a bathroom. Unfortunately, the original table seems to have been replaced by one of the over-the-bed hospital varities. Ick.

Overall, it seems to be a rather rare setup. There have been 4 or 5 that have passed through the "for-sale" ranks this fall and winter. I am not sure if they would be said to have not been as popular, or if they were so well-liked for the extra sleeping room that people just didn't let them go.

I have a 64 SCS. It has a pretty beefy frame. Im guessing around 2500 lbs. minimum. Bigger than an Airflyte, with the rear shower/potty/tank. Ours is hard to move by hand with a trailer dolly.
In any case, I would want a 5000 lb. tow capacity in a vehicle to haul this trailer.

Thanks for the answers on the SC. Too heavy for me with a V6. I also wonder about a 50 year old holding tank/water system, although a toilet is a plus. Interesting layout.

I haven't come across an intact 50 year plus holding tank yet! Shasta had a bad habit of hanging the plumbing a little on the low side; they were often yanked off the trailer, cracking/tearing the tank...

Thanks for the photos. Really interesting layout. My wife prefers not setting up a bed each night and she likes having two areas to shift things front to back. But the bathroom is a nice extra.

I don't know why, but I love the showers in the old trailers! They don't make 'em like that anymore!

I have to agree about the showers in canned hams. Although it is tiny, the convenience of a shower is amazing. The first time you go camping in your trailer and use the shower, you will be thankful for it.
