So I know I've said that we have a fair amount of old campers in N. MI, well I had to go up yesterday and thought it would be fun to take pictures of some of them on my way home. All of these were on a 30 mile road (before I got on the freeway) and the last one is about 1/4 mile from my house on a farm. So... Can You Name That Camper?
This one has a hump in the front, kind of hard to see with the tree
This is one I'm very interested in it's about 10 ft tops.
more trees
These last 2 are hard to see, had a blond moment and forgot to use the telescoping lens, they are sitting about 3 feet from each other, I could only see them because there were no leaves, didn't realize they were there before today, next time if I have boots, I'm going to check them out!
I know they aren't the greatest pics but Jim was already nervous about taking pics of other peoples stuff, he wouldn't let me out of the car. We actually were turning around to get a pic of the one with the round window in the door and he said "there's one right there!" I said, "I know turn around so I can take the picture" he said, "No silly, right in front of you". It was at the end of the driveway we were turning around in...............
So... Experts, what do you think? Which one is oldest? Can't wait to read your thoughts!

I'd name them all "Betty".

Great photo tour! Not what I was expecting. I thought you were having a contest That's just amazing. I don't know what the pink/white one with the hump is, but it's sure is cool looking!

The grey one with the gold accent on the back is a Holiday Rambler, nice trailer. The oldest looks to be the one with the porthole in the door, possibly an old Trotwood?
The retro shaped white with a light brown stripe looks to be late 60s, similar to an Airflyte, Starflyte or Aristocrat Land Commander, but the door window says it's some other brand.
The one with the crunched dome needs surgery... This is fun!

The one with the crunched dome needs surgery... This is fun! The one with the crunched dome, was hit by a tree a couple of years ago, they had tarp on it for awhile. Pre-VTT I would have said it's junk, but now.......... It doesn't seem like that difficult a fix. It has a rounded back end too.
It became popular here to take your old trailer up to your cottage and put it in back for a spare bedroom. I saw a few that Jim wouldn't let me get a picture of because they were behind houses.
The little one was the surprise. It's cute as a button. Do you have any idea what year (range) it's in?
I've been "scouting" trailers for a couple years for a playhouse, now because of VTT and this new "addiction" I'm looking for a lot of other reasons. Unfortunately I don't think Jim would let me "collect" them, ....................but maybe that little one. It looks pretty much abandoned............................

I'm guessing the small one is mid 60s, maybe a little earlier. It doesn't have quite the canned ham shape, a little more toward toaster. (the curve disappears at the lower back) Manufacturers were beginning to experiment by the early 60s, as we've seen with the Shastas. A few were hams as late as 65 but that was about the last year.
This little cutie has a steel door, which I would re-skin with aluminum. Also, it looks to be around 14 feet total which would be slightly bigger than your Corvette? The tree in the middle isn't helping observations... LOL.
I say the more the merrier! Bring the dome and the little guy home...

We love the pictures of the trailers hiding in the forest. That's where Hamlet was when he was rescued. There had been a very heavy snow pack and his roof was all caved in. Poor Ham!

See this is why I love this site/people, I learned something new, I thought hams and toaster were the same!
Gonna take my boots next time and check out those trailers in the woods!! I just have to see what they are. Plus there's a for sale sign by the driveway leading back to them (and a few other properties), my excuse to go poking around!!

That little one... Winnebago used steel doors. Not exact and the window is different, but a thought... Shape is right.
