I've decided to do all new interior. What kind of wood have you used. I want to keep costs low. But keep it nice. I'm a skilled carpenter so the work will be easy.

I'm in the same boat you are...... In my 69 shasta compact I'm going to use a paneling I found at Home Depot. While mine didn't come out with the birch, I considered it til I found the price without seeing the panels them self. Couldn't bring myself to spend 45$ a sheet vs 15$

Do not buy your paneling at a Big Box store, "if they even have it". Buy at a specialty lumber yard that sells Hard Woods. They will have a better selection, and "in fact" will also be cheaper. It's worth the additional cost to buy the domestic made paneling over the imported cheaper paneling. You do not want to discover you have poor quality, delaminating plywood after you have it shellac'd and half of it installed. Good domestic birch paneling is under $20/sheet in my area. It takes about 11 to 13 sheets to do a small trailer. Make sure you "hand pick" the sheets.

Birch or Maple.... I would not put anything else in a vintage trailer.
