So I just bought this '63 HiLo off Craigslist and I've had a hard time finding photos of them. Was Googling tonight and found your forum because you were talking about the camper I actually bought! It's a 1963 Hi-Lo. In pretty good shape. they did replace some wood. The owner is a cabinet maker so I'm hoping that bodes well for the quality of the repairs but he did NOT do a fantastic job with the skin in the back;-) Right now my main concern is the smell. Gotta start by getting the dead stinkbugs out. I bought an ozone machine to help with that venture. Threw away the old curtains and removed the cushions. My current plan is not to keep it vintage but I'm keeping the appliances so I can revert it back. I need the extra space because i"ll be traveling with my two large dogs and floor space in this 9 footer is a premium! I'll keep posted with pics. Just really going to get started this weekend! Wish me luck. Hope I'm not too far in over my head....((famous last words)).

You will be fine just remember to have fun. Once you get the cloth items removed a complete scrubbing will help to remove smells. Fabreeze does an excellent job once everything is clean. A cat got trapped in our sunroom a few years back and he went nuts the smell would gag you we shampooed the carpet then sprayed the whole room down with Fabreeze (2 cans)and the smell was gone after a day or two.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. But thanks for the advice. And glad I don't have carpet at least!
