Anyone have a photo of the fresh water tank that was in the cabinet about the sink in the early 1500 Shasta's?
Mine is missing and I honestly have never seen one. Danny

We had photos of that on the other forum. Did they make it over here?

Ya that's it. Now you probably won't be able to find one of the originals but places like Richardson's RV ships and you can get any kind and size of blank fresh water tank you want from them. They have generic threaded holes in some and others you can put the holes anywhere you like using ABS glue and the fittings they sell. You can also use a ceramic water jug and just build a new door that has the slot in the middle instead of the side.
Check out Richardson's RV for many new parts.

Right now this moment the website is down so I called them to let them know.

good ideas Larry - the original also has a carry handle on top. wondering if mine holds water - a newer one that's semitransparent would make it easier to tell how much water was in it for sure! wondering if you could also use a spigot connection like you see on some drink jugs, but place it on your new water tank so it comes through the opening in the door. my kids think I should clean this one up and put either lemonade or iced tea in it!

I'm sure that could be done Kathleen. I wanted to do that with the 57 but the owner said no. He wanted a regular fresh water tank installed which I did.

I like that fitting for the spigot...would be great if that could be retrofitted to a newer abs tank. I have one of these in mine as well (tank long gone)but just use it as a regular cabinet for now.

I know the spigots can be attached to glass and ceramic - not sure about plastic. The brass spigots seem to last longer than the plastic ones, at least in my house. Maybe somebody who is missing the tank, but has the cabinet door with opening, can test fab this for us!

As far as adding a spigot or something similar to the original thump spout button I don't see any problem, doing automotive restoration in recent years abs plastic gas tanks have come on to the scene and adding fittings is a none issue without leaks. Danny

The measurements are the same as the inside of the cabinet with enough room to spare to get it in and out of said cabinet.
